FOSDOO had organized an awareness-raising event to mark International Women’s day 2022 with the participation of Local Government structure members, women leaders, youth leaders, and community members of Vavuniya District on 23rd March 2022 under the South Asia Grant Program funded by The Asia Foundation. The theme for International Women’s Day 2022 She: the Country, the Nation, and the World. In the event, experience sharing for women Local Government structure members, conversation about present women’s political status, cultural events, and mobilizing of women leadership and empowerment were the key programmes to create awareness among the grass-root women and their communities. Nearly 110 persons comprising Local Government structure members, women leaders, youth leaders, communities members, and Govt. officials had participated in the event.
