The symposium on Women’s Economic Empowerment had been organized on 28th June’22 at district secretariat Vavuniya by gathering the farmers from Vavuniya and Mullaitivu Districts. Totally 220 farmers (141 male and 79 female) have participated. The Government stakeholders and women entrepreneurs were also participated in the symposium. OXFAM has shared the impact of the RIES project and updated on the next phase with the beneficiaries and government stakeholders. Then, the awareness of financial literacy given by the Officer of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. Following that, experience sharing of women entrepreneurs had taken place to facilitate other women to learn through their experiences. Then, the selected successful women entrepreneurs had been honoured for their efforts.
