FOSDOO has supported Women Civil Society Networks of Vavuniya North DS divisions to organize the awareness-raising event to mark IWD 2022 on 8th March 2022 under the IDEA project funded by USAID.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2022 is She: the Country, the Nation, and the World. In the event, forum theatre performance on women issues “மனச்சிறை” (Manachchirai), experience sharing sessions and cultural activities have been conducted in order to create awareness among the grass-root communities. Nearly 200 persons comprising WCSN members, community members and Government Officials had participated in the event.
